Jones left Minnesota after sitting out last year after he and three other teammates were dismissed from the team.</description>

      <description>Head Coach Denver Johnson and his Illinois State Redbird team is looking to bounce back from an under .500 season last year and return to the FCS Playoffs in 2008 as a member of the new Missouri Valley Football Conference (formerly the Gateway). The Birds had its first full scrimmage on Sunday and here is a report from the newspaper in Normal, Ill., "The Pantagraph" and writer Randy Reinhardt.</description>

      <description>It began as a trickle on Monday, with the Big East releasing schedules for West Virginia and Cincinnati, and Herd fans started planning for the 2008 football season. Wisconsin had already released its '08 slate, as had Illinois State, and now Conference USA has turned loose the football schedules for all 12 members on Tuesday. MU football faces nine bowl teams among other challenges for 2008.</description>
