Staley would like hoops at Vandy too

Vanderbilt's doing a good job plucking quarterbacks out of the Peach State. Last year it was Johnathon McCrary from Cedar Grove and this year it's Elijah Staley from Wheeler High School in Marietta. The 6-foot-7, 210-pound signal caller made his commitment during the Black & Gold Spring Game. He spoke to VandyMania.com on the decision to "Anchor Down" with the Commodores.

Vanderbilt basketball: Hope for the future

After the disappointing loss to Ole Miss on Saturday, Commodore head coach Kevin Stallings talked about how proud he was of his team after a 16-17 season. Stallings should be proud; his team reaching the SEC semifinals, beating Kentucky and winning 16 games was something many observers thought would be impossible earlier in the season.

Three Keys Revisited: Vanderbilt at Florida

Walking out of Gainesville with a win on senior night was never going to be easy and Vanderbilt learned that lesson the hard way ending up on the wrong end of a Gator rout. Add in the fact that Florida was aiming for a perfect home slate and the small matter of the SEC Title being on the line and you can see what the 'Dores were going up against. Here is a look at how the three keys shook out.

After a more convincing than the score suggests 62-55 win over Auburn on Saturday the Commodores are hitting their stride at just the right time. With just two games to go to close out the regular season Vandy has won four of five and this young squad is looking better by the game. Now comes the toughest test in the SEC in 2012-13, a trip to the No. 11 Florida Gators.
