Chambers may soon rejoin team

BYU’s bowl this year was supposed to be the final game O’Neill Chambers played as a Cougar. Instead, the wide receiver from Florida was suspended indefinitely from the team in October of 2010 for disciplinary reasons, missing the remainder of that season and all of this season. For a long time now there has been talk that Chambers could suit up again, which Coach Mendenhall addressed on Wednesday.

Defense Shocked But Moving On

No one saw the firing of Coach Hill coming, least of all the very players that he coached. Following practice on Tuesday some of those players expressed shock and a bit of confusion, but also a firm belief in their head coach Bronco Mendenhall doing what needs to be done. Mendenhall has made an immediate impact as he takes full charge of the defense once again.

By-The-Numbers: BYU

We're back! By-the-numbers is sick and tired of sitting on the sideline, so we're fired up that it's the first week of the college football season! But when looking at the numbers between Washington and BYU, we're left with one thought - winning on the road will be no easy feat against a team that has gone 22-2 at home the last four years.

Wide receiver O’Neill Chambers was a freshman when BYU squeaked out a 28-27 win on the road over Washington in 2008. Now a more experienced and polished cog within the Cougar passing attack, Chambers will be counted on to play a larger role against one of the more experienced units on the Huskies defense.

He’s taken on a more influential role on the team through example and leadership for reasons beyond himself.
