It can’t be emphasized enough how important it is to be athletic as an offensive tackle at the elite levels of college football. Head Coach Mark Schmid from The Woodlands (Texas) says that the athleticism will help Thompson at the next level.

Set to be a Husker

The coaching changes in Lincoln have been hard for Nebraska and their recruits. For some, it was enough to want to leave and not look back. For others, it was enough to stay committed, but to ponder some other options. For Brandon Thompson, he pondered, but through all of it knew that his best option was to remain a Husker.

Thompson talks about commitment

Brandon Thompson's mom said that there were a couple of nights when the number of calls her son received was close to 20. Hopefully, following this commitment, some of the craziness that is the recruiting process, will go away. Brandon and his mom keep it in perspective though, thankful for the chance to play college football, but still happy it's over.

Thompson enjoys trip to Nebraska

The Nebraska recruiting effort has become a balance of recruiting to fill the remaining slots and retention to keep the commits that they have secured. This weekend, Nebraska had Brandon Thompson in town to potentially fill one of those last few, valuable remaining spots. What did Thompson think about the trip north to Nebraska?

Huskers will host Texas lineman this weekend

More often than not, it's appropriate to say "big" in front of the word "Texas". It's really appropriate when it comes to describing this lineman that will be in Lincoln this weekend. The Huskers are still looking to grab another lineman or two and this weekend might be a piece to that puzzle. Who is this lineman?
