Adeniji, Kristick, Peat find NFL homes

THREE BEAVERS SIGNED undrafted free agent contracts and will get a shot at the NFL -- WR Damola Adeniji, LB Keaton Kristick and OL Gregg Peat, and two moves came with surprises. With Kristick, many thought an NFL team might get themselves a steal with a 6-7th round draft pick. As for Adeniji, no one was talking about the NFL a year ago -- after all, he was a walk-on with one career catch.

Sizing up the Beavs in the NFL Draft mix

THE NFL DRAFT got underway Thursday and here's one for the books -- Idaho had more picks (1) in the first round than did USC (0). Oregon State and Oregon had no players selected, but that figures to change this weekend. QB Sean Canfield and LB Keaton Kristick are generally regarded by the cyberspace draft gurus as OSU's top NFL prospects. But could other Beavs jump up into the NFL draft mix?

The Unusual Suspects: Las Vegas Bowl

AMIDST ALL THE 50 mile per hour winds, turnovers and penalties, OSU broke their five game bowl winning streak, failed to reach nine wins for the first time since 2005, and will be hard pressed to gain respect from final poll voters after falling 44-20 to BYU. Despite the poor and seemingly uninspired performance, there were a few bright spots. Granted, you have to look hard, but they’re there.

Mistake-prone OSU blown away in windy Vegas

THE TEMPEST BLOWING through Sam Boyd Stadium, with gusts to around 45 mph, was nothing compared to the discord surrounding Oregon State in the first half. The sheer volume of penalties, missed tackles and mistakes by the orange and black were hard to fathom. And, in the 44-20 loss to No. 14 BYU, even harder to stomach.

IT DIDN'T UNFOLD quite like the early blowout that was forecast but Oregon State was never seriously threatened and took care of business with a 42-10 win over Washington State. And truth be told, a win where the Beavs weren't always razor sharp might have been the best thing for Oregon State headed into what could be a Civil War for a Rose Bowl berth.

ADENIJI: ‘I just dropped the knee’

CORVALLIS -- While the big story of the day was the dominating Oregon State win over Washington, the team that beat USC, and the loss by that USC team on Saturday at the hands of Stanford, all of that almost certainly fell by the wayside upon retrospect for Damola Adeniji. Because the Beavers’ starting wide receiver asked a life changing question on Saturday. And she said Yes.

YOU WON'T FIND them in the AP or USAToday Top 25 polls but the Beavs have broken into the BCS Standings at No. 23. Saturday is Senior Day and the last home game of the season but the buzz around OSU-UW is that it's a trap game for the Beavers -- favored by 11 at home. Looking inside the matchups, here's where the Huskies look to be vulnerable on offense and where OSU might try to take advantage.

IT LOOKED FOR all the world that Oregon State was headed towards a workmanlike Halloween victory over UCLA. Nothing all that spectacular, just a 16 point lead and takin' care of business. And then came the fourth quarter. Two Bruin touchdowns and two 2-point conversions later, this one was tied. With time running down, Sean Canfield, James Rodgers and Jacquizz Rodgers bowed up and went on a march.
