Four NATHAN ENDERLE touchdown passes, two second quarter 73-yard touchdown receptions by junior wide receiver Maurice Shaw, a second quarter 59-yard TD run by Deonte Jackson, a 52-yard field goal by Trey Farquhar, and almost 500 yards of total offense were not enough for the Vandals to overcome the Wolf Pack and dual-threat QB Colin Kaepernick (230 rush, 178 pass), as Idaho fell 70-45 to Nevada.

Vandals Win Opener, Down NMSU 21-6

The Vandals jumped out to an impressive 21-0 lead going into halftime at New Mexico State on Saturday, looking poised and prepared (including MAX KOMAR rolling over an Aggie defender for a TD) in the season opener for both schools. In the second half the Idaho offense stalled, but the Vandal defense forced a couple Aggie turnovers in a bend-but-don't-break approach, yielding just one touchdown.

PLAYER POST-GAME: Idaho vs. Western Michigan

It was a much different post-game meeting Saturday, compared to the Idaho State game a week ago. The Vandals got off to a very solid start, and with 12 minutes left in the third tied the game at 14-14 following an impressive touchdown drive after an onside kick. But things quickly unravelled and Idaho never recovered. Inside EDDIE WILLIAMS, Deonte Jackson, and Isaac Butts discuss the game.

Saturday's home tilt against Western Michigan exemplified how quickly things can turn in a game. At halftime Idaho was down just 14-7 and playing solid football. To start the third, Idaho recovered an onside kick and tied the game at 14 with 12:39 left in the quarter. WMU answered with a quick TD, and Idaho began pressing in all facets, resulting in numerous breakdowns and a WMU 51-28 win.
