Projecting the Bakersfield Roster

The opening day roster for Bakersfield will have a high turnover compared to one year ago. They did receive strong performances from some of the low-A players after promotions. Organizational depth will keep good talent in the low-A level and if some of the holdovers can reach the next step in their development the Blaze should again be an exciting team to watch in 2013.

Robles Shines at Bakersfield

Tanner Robles has made both of his starts scoreless ones since a promotion to Bakersfield from Dayton. The southpaw out of Oregon St. is in his third minor league season and was named to the Pioneer League All Star team in 2010. After a rocky start last season he finished the year strong with Dayton. He's now looking to do that again at the high-A level.

9th Inning Rally Lifts Dragons

Though he has yet to get a decision, it was the second strong effort in as many starts for the 6’4” lefthander Tanner Robles. He turned in a 6IP/1R/3H effort against West Michigan in his first outing while striking out seven. He now has a 1.50 ERA and a 0.750 WHIP on the young season.
