Angelini Itching To Get Back

Carmen Angelini missed the entire 2010 season with a torn labrum in his right hip and made a full return last Spring Training. Solid in camp and doing pretty well in his first week in Tampa last season, he fractured a bone in his ankle and missed the remainder of the year in 2011. He says he's once again completely healthy and now he's itching to return to game action.

Angelini Able To Focus On His Game

Carmen Angelini missed the entire 2010 season with a torn labrum in his right hip. He spent most of the year resting and rehabbing his way back, and now, headed for what most likely will be the most pivotal season in his minor league career, he says he can finally shift his focus away from the injury and squarely on to his game.

Angelini Recovering Slowly

It was a lost year of sorts for Carmen Angelini in 2009, at least statistically. He hit below .200 in his second full season but 2010 has truly been a lost year, missing the entire season with an array of lower-body injuries, including a torn labrum in his right hip. Getting ready for his two-month checkup next week, Angelini says his recovery has been slow going.

Angelini's Confidence Is Boosting

Carmen Angelini had a rough professional debut season last year, hitting just .236 with four home runs for the Charleston Riverdogs. And even though he seems ticketed for a return trip to the South Atlantic League this coming season, the shortstop's confidence is at an all-time high and he credits it to his offseason workout and now subsequent strong showing this Spring Training.
