      <description>Albuquerque let a 5-0 lead dwindle away, losing 7-5 to Portland.  Tommy Giles helped Chattanooga rally to beat Jacksonville 4-2. Inland Empire lost their fifth in a row, this time 6-3 to Stockton and Aaron Miller, Geison Aguasviva and Cole St. Clair shutout West Michigan 3-0.</description>

      <description>Albuquerque and Chattanooga are in first place as the season moves into the final month. Albuquerque (+5) dumped Nashville twice, 6-1 and 2-1. Chattanooga (+.5) topped West Tenn 6-2 for their third win in succession. Inland Empire lost to Lancaster 5-2 and Jaime Pedroza singled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as Great Lakes topped Clinton 4-3.</description>
