      <description>The Beloit Snappers had a great 2007 season, coming within one win of winning the Midwest League Championship.  It was an up-and-down season for the franchise, who earned a playoff berth by winning the first half title.  After laboring through the second half, the Snappers made a miraculous run through the Midwest League playoffs, and were nearly league champs.</description>

      <description>The Beloit Snappers will head to the second round of the Midwest League playoffs thanks to some timely hitting on Thursday.  After blowing a four-run lead, the Snappers had some extra-innings magic up their sleeve, as they scored a run in the bottom of the eleventh inning to seal the victory.  The Snappers now get a day off before facing the winner of the Cedar Rapids/Clinton Series.</description>
