In the midst of all the turmoil following Urban Meyer's sudden departure from Florida, some good can be found in the Gator Nation. Henry led the country in punting this season, averaging 46.4 yards on 44 punts, which is the best average in school history.

Henry was Confident Before Saturday's Kick

Chas Henry never doubted on Saturday. Even after his fourth straight miss happened on Florida’s first drive of the game, he knew that one more chance was necessary. Henry didn’t know that would come to win the game.

Chas Henry: 'The Specialist'

In Florida’s loss to Alabama, the Gators managed to get six points on the board. Well, one Gator managed to prevent an Alabama shutout. That player isn’t a wide receiver or a quarterback and he wasn’t toting the ball in his hands to score. Punter/kicker Chas Henry did it all with his foot.

Video: Henry Knows He Can Improve

Chas Henry was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award for the nation's best punter in 2009. Maybe that is to be expected from an Urban Meyer coached punter, but Henry knows he can do better. Meyer has relinquished a lot of the special teams duties to assistant coach D.J. Durkin and Henry has taken to Durkin's coaching well. Henry talks about all of this in this post practice interview session.

Henry, Phillips Hope to Boot Sooners

Most of the focus and attention on the upcoming Florida/Oklahoma game has been on the two offenses and whether either defense can slow the other team down. And that’s with good reason. Oklahoma is the top offense in college football and the Florida Gators are right behind them.

RECRUITING: It's a Swamp Thing for Henry

Talking to Chas Henry about being a Florida Gator is like riding an energetic colt. It is hard not to say, “Whoa slow down son,” he gets so enthusiastic. He did visit his home state Georgia Bulldogs first, but, the Gators were quicker to offer. “Once Florida offered, I knew it was where I should be,” said Chas.
