Anders Could Give Gift For Lifetime

It’s no secret that Alabama has one of the nation’s best defensive teams. Almost no one would have guessed that Eryk Anders would be a secret weapon for the Crimson Tide.

Anders Brings Much To Tide Defense

Eryk Anders doesn’t have to take abuse from Terrence Cody any more. Last year on passing downs, Alabama would make a change in its defensive alignment. It sometimes affected strongside linebacker Cory Reamer. It always affected nose tackle Cody.

Anders Isn’t Just A Rabbit Now

He’s been a defensive lineman, albeit a small one. He’s been a rabbit. Now approaching his final football season for the Crimson Tide, Eryk Anders wants to be a starting linebacker. He may have taken some steps in that direction in last Saturday’s scrimmage.

Eryk Anders Doing Well In His Role

“Go Dog Go,” by P.D.Eastman is a delightful children’s book. I thought about it recently while talking to a couple of Alabama football players. A subplot of the book has two dogs in a recurring situation, random meeting. One, a male wearing a silly hat, asks, “Do you like my hat?” I won’t spoil the ending for you, but time after time the female says, “I do not like that hat,” and moves on.
