Twins Recap: April Brings Wins

April is usually a month where teams try to find their legs. Francisco Liriano found his old form, Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer are killing the ball, and the bullpen has been lights out.

Minnesota Twins April Recap

The Minnesota Twins finished out the month of April with an 11-11 record, which is not bad, considering they played the entire month without All-Star Catcher Joe Mauer. The team got great offensive efforts from Justin Morneau, Jason Kubel, Jose Morales, and Denard Span, while Glen Perkins and Kevin Slowey were tough on the mound.

Twins Notes: Baker Solid Once Again

The Twins have made some moves in the playoff race, but that is mostly due to other teams in the Division playing poorly. The middle of their lineup is struggling, as Torii Hunter, Justin Morneau, and Michael Cuddyer are all mired in a slump. In other news, Scott Baker has looked great on the mound, Juan Rincon has not pitched well, Thomas Watkins makes his Major League debut, and much more.
