Austin Gallagher knocked in the winning run in the eighth inning as Inland Empire edged Rancho Cucamonga 5-4 and Dayton handed Great Lakes a 6-2 loss but Jerry Sands ran his hitting streak to 11 games. Chattanooga was rained out.</description>

Chattanooga rode Alberto Bastardo's strong left arm to a 3-2 win over Huntsville. Inland Empire blew a win to Rancho Cucamonga, allowing a run in the ninth and one in the 10th to lose 4-3. Great Lakes battered South Bend for the second straight night, 9-1.</description>
