Huskies back on the NFL Warpath

SEATTLE - Doug Farrar, NFL Analyst for Yahoo Sports, happened to ask Pete Carroll a question the week after Washington defeated Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl this past December. From 0-12 to a Holiday Bowl win, what does this say about Steve Sarkisian, queried Farrar. Carroll, now with the Seattle Seahawks, was clear in his praise about Sarkisian, his former offensive coordinator at USC.

If you’ve ever been to a Steve Sarkisian practice then you know you’d better keep your head on a swivel, or you’re liable to get run over.
SEATTLE - For all the work he's done on the field, Daniel Te'o-Nesheim rarely looks for the spotlight off of it. Tonight, however, was different. When he sacked Cal's Kevin Riley for an eight-yard loss with 2:47 left in the third quarter of UW's 42-10 thumping of the Golden Bears, he was more than happy to throw up a couple of shakas when the cameras started canvassing the Huskies' sideline.

Seriously, we here at By-The-Numbers are still a little hung over from the crunching of the digits last weekend when Washington State came into town. Whoa! Those were some ugly, ugly numbers.
