GBW Video: J. Forcier on Brotherly Beatdowns

Former Michigan quarterback Jason Forcier was back in Ann arbor supporting his younger brother Saturday, and hopes to do the same in the fall. GoBlueWolverine's Sam Webb caught with the elder Forcier during the spring game to discuss the root of his younger brother's swagger, why he encouraged his sibling to attend Michigan, his plan to return to Ann Arbor for graduate school, and more.

Day Five: Frosh LBs in Focus

There will always be gaps between our expectations, no matter how well informed our scouting and intel may be, on Signing Day and the realities for freshmen when they put on pads in their first preseason camp. Friday's practice helped demonstrated that the surprise strength of Stanford's 2007 freshmen are the linebackers. Confirmation came in talking with LBs coach Andy Buh afterward.

Defensive Shuffles Dominate Day One

We had as strong a handle on this Stanford Football roster as we can imagine prior to Monday night's opening practice of fall camp. But just 24 hours earlier, the defensive coaching staff shuffled a number of linebackers and defensive linemen. We break down the new looks in the front seven, plus a first look at the newcomers that caught our attention on Day One of the Cardinal's preseason.

Michigan Quarterback Transfers to Stanford

Stanford suffered a lag in quarterback recruiting after landing T.C. Ostrander in 2003. No slinger was signed in '04, and just two were inked in the span of three years. Jim Harbaugh has however found in Michigan signal caller Jason Forcier a reinforcement. The 6'2" dual-threat quarterback athlete is transferring to Stanford this fall. Forcier spoke with us Sunday while flying home to San Diego.
