GoVandals.net Salutes the Seniors

This Saturday, fourteen seniors will take the field for the last time in their playing career at Idaho, as the Vandals take on Utah State at 12:30 PM (PST) in the Kibbie Dome. The senior class includes five on offense and nine on defense. It is unlikely any class has seen so much transition at Idaho, and inside is our salute to a fantastic group of dedicated athletes.

PHOTO GALLERY: The Vandal Offensive Line

As is often the case, the unit that takes the longest to rebuild is the offensive line. Seven years ago Idaho had three future NFL linemen on the starting unit (Jake Scott and Rick DeMulling drafted by Colts, plus free agent Patrick Venzke). It has taken years to rebuild the depth chart, but with mountainous guard MIKE IUPATI among its emerging leaders, the Vandal line is getting back to form.

2 Minute Drill with Marcis Fennell

"I want to help him [first-year Idaho head coach Robb Akey] make this program a lot better..." It's a theme we're hearing more and more from this team. Coach Akey and staff are gaining support from a team loaded with juniors and seniors, and that includes senior right guard MARCIS FENNELL, a 6-2, 300-pound lineman who has been an integral part of the Idaho line since his true freshman season.
