Rams placing Mark Clayton on IR

The St. Louis Rams are placing wide receiver Mark Clayton on injured reserve due to knee problems, the team announced today.

Clayton tore his patellar tendon in his right knee last year. He was placed on the physically unable to perform list after signing a one-year contract with the Rams and was later activated.

In two games with one start, Clayton caught three passes for 26 yards.
