Chargers re-sign fullback Jacob Hester

The San Diego Chargers re-signed fullback Jacob Hester to a one-year contract, the team announced.

Ta-ta, Tolbert?

The Chargers have two key free agents in the offensive backfield: Mike Tolbert and Jacob Hester. Although Tolbert has been the more productive player since the duo entered the league together in 2008, it would appear Hester has the better odds of returning. Read on to find out why.

Thanks to league-wide labor uncertainty, the Chargers don't even know what all their needs are heading into next season. There are, however, three positions GM A.J. Smith should not feel compelled to address -- and, no, we are not talking specialists.

San Diego's backfield will not look all that different this year.
