      <description>Sam Selman was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2012 draft out of Vanderbilt University.  He signed quickly and made his professional debut within two weeks of being drafted.  

He pitched in 13 games (12 starts) and continued his late season success that he had with Vanderbilt.  In fact, his numbers in Idaho Falls were better than his numbers at Vanderbilt.
