PRACTICE: Beavs crisp, questions remain

CORVALLIS - Still no decision from Mike Riley on who will get the go ahead as starting QB for the Alamo Bowl. Questions also still loom regarding the health of WR Brandin Cooks, who has been on and off the sideline the last few days with ankle trouble. The Beavs, however, looked crisp as they ran through various drills and plays on Tuesday.

Beavs back at it for first bowl game practice

CORVALLIS--Oregon State’s first day of preparation for the Alamo Bowl (Dec. 29) began Monday. Typically, the bulk of the bowl practices focus on the younger players getting reps – an early, extra spring session for the youth, if you will. But Mike Riley said the Beavs are also preparing for Texas in the here and now. Three Beavers, however, were not part of that equation on Monday.

Beavs win turnover battle, but lose the war

OREGON STATE suffered a bitter loss to the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday, losing by the score of 27-23. Two evenly matched teams went head to head in one of the most exciting matchups of the Pac-12 season. The deciding factor in this one though? Oregon State won the turnover battle, they committed only one. But that one turnover left the Beavers high and dry in the end.
