Which Coug rookies might suit up in '10?

PULLMAN -- Paul Wulff says it’s far too early to publicly identify the first-year Cougars who are expected to suit up for the season opener Sept. 4 at Oklahoma State. However, the view from here is you would not be taking a huge gamble if you predicted a pair of frosh wide receivers and a running back will be in uniform at Stillwater. And they’re not the only ones vying for early entrances..

DAY 3: Speed, athleticism apparent; C change?

PULLMAN -- Anyone who saw the past two Washington State football teams in action really doesn’t need to come to Pullman to appreciate the difference in team speed this year. All they have to do is watch the past two years’ games -- on fast forward. On other fronts, Marquess Wilson has tongues wagging, Rickey Galvin and Leon Brooks flip the switch -- and is a change in the offing at center?

Sealby Brothers run up a storm at state meet

THE SEALBY brothers, Jacob and Lucas, had smoke coming out of their shoes this weekend at the state Class 4A track and field championships in Tacoma. The Wenatchee twins, who will be suiting up for Paul Wulff and the Cougars this fall as invited walk ons, ran all over the 100, 200 and 400 meter races despite inclimate weather.

Seen & Heard on Planet Coug 5/12

JACOB SEALBY, a Wenatchee High senior who will be coming to WSU this fall as a preferred walk on with the football team, has recorded the second-fastest times in the state of Washington this prep track season in the 200 and 400 meters, reports athletic.net. The defending state champ in the 400 will be suiting up for the Cougs as an outside linebacker, as will his nearly-as-speedy twin Lucas.

Wenatchee linebacking duo will walk-on at WSU

WASHINGTON STATE has gone to the apple capital of the world to fortify its linebacking corps. The Cougars have just landed two preferred walk ons from Wenatchee. They're brothers who moonlight on offense -- one is a record-setting All-State back, the other a strapping receiver -- but whose real passion is cracking helmets on defense.

Cougs host Wenatchee linebacker prospects

ONE WAS A first-team all-league linebacker in the Columbia division of the Big 9. The other was league MVP and an all-state Class 4A pick who broke the school rushing records. Both officially visited WSU this past weekend. The Cougs don't have full rides for them right now but are offering preferred walk-on status to Wenatchee brothers Jacob Sealby and Lucas Sealby. So is another Pac-10 school.
