Reeves and Crete are rolling

Ryne Reeves is going to be a center for Nebraska when he gets to Lincoln. Until this year though, he only played some spot duty on defense, but this summer was about getting into the kind of shape to play both ways the whole game. Reeves and Crete (Nebr.) are three games in, perfect through three, and he’s anchoring both sides of the line all the time.

It's hot. It's two a days. Ryne Reeves hits the field with his team mates
and will be in full pads for the first time this season. Talk to Reeves and
you will pick up on a guy that might tell you that the most wonderful sound
in the world is pads popping. He's physical on the field and he talks a
physical game. Reeves talks about his upcoming season and the Huskers.

Nebraska’s Recruiting Melting Pot

All you have to do is look at Nebraska’s 2011 recruiting list to see that things are definitely changing in Lincoln. So far at this early point in the process the Huskers have cast a wide net to help secure one of the most impressive recruiting classes in the country.

Spring Game old hat for Reeves

Only living a few miles from Lincoln, there's not a lot you can tell Ryne Reeves about Nebraska that he doesn't already know. But he had a chance to meet some of his future teammates for the first time, and that's something he really liked. The Spring game was simply something that was going on, but Ryne talked with us about the more interesting parts about his visit today.

Reeves' Junior All-American Experience

The All-American experience is what it is. It’s a time for standouts from around the country to converge on one place and face off. For Crete’s Ryne Reeves, he will have to wait at least one more year to have a shot at doing just that. But he had his chance to face off against some of the best, this time down in San Antonio, for the Junior All-American Combine.

Enjoyable Visit for future Husker

For any Nebraska kid this probably isn’t a time where they are going to learn a whole lot that is new. But hey, it’s still a trip to Nebraska. For Ryne Reeves, Nebraska’s first commit for the Class of 2011, this “Junior Day” wasn’t climactic. He’s already had that. But he said it was a learning and enjoyable experience.

Commit Video: Ryne Reeves

Check out sophomore highlights from future Husker, Ryne Reeves. Yes, these are only his sophomore highlights, but you will see as we did, this kid has the tools and especially the mind-set to play in the trenches. Reeves comes off the line well, stays with his blocks when needed, and he knows how to finish people off. And he still has two years of prep ball to go. Enjoy.
