Photo Gallery - Spring Game

SEATTLE - Here are pictures from Washington's Offense-Defense Spring Game, held Saturday afternoon at CenturyLink Field. The Defense won, 36-10, using a scoring system in lieu of playing an actual game due to depth concerns.

Practice Spotlight - Day 13

SEATTLE - With Friday's practice closed to the media, this was our last chance to see what the Washington Huskies had up their sleeves heading into Saturday's Spring Game at CenturyLink Field - or more accurately Spring Football Scrimmage - as the number of healthy offensive linemen is going to preclude the team from going full-go with a true 'game'.

Practice Spotlight - Day Five

SEATTLE - Steve Sarkisian asked his offense to step up after a somewhat lackluster Monday morning practice session, and they delivered. Fueled by the play of Bishop Sankey and Dezden Petty, the offense bit back, taking it to the defense during third down and short yardage periods on Wednesday, and responded well when the defense did manage to break through with a good play or two.

First Crack at UW's Spring Depth Chart

SEATTLE - Steve Sarkisian is right on the money when he said during the first week of spring football that there really isn't a depth chart; how could there be when they are simply compiling film on players, formations, and groupings?

Wednesday Practice Report

SEATTLE - Steve Sarkisian said he started to see it Tuesday, and Wednesday's practice confirmed it - for all the hard work and effort Washington had put into their fall camp practices, it was time to throttle it back a bit to, as Sarkisian said after Wednesday's shortened workout - 'get fresh as a football team'. So Sarkisian decided to cut short a planned two-hour practice by one period.

Corners juggling numbers, responsibilities

Demetrice Martin calls it 'the belly of the beast'. It's that place where ideas of what reality should be differ from reality - especially on the football field. Ideally, Washington would have loved to redshirt cornerbacks like Desmond Trufant and Gregory Ducre - but the reality of the situation wouldn't let them. They were too good not to play.
