<title>Evan Wilson Enjoys Tight End Competition</title>
<description>Probably the deepest position on the Fighting Illini football team is tight end. The former staff recruited tight ends for their pro-style offense, and now the position is loaded with talented performers. Junior Evan Wilson is batting for a starting job, but the competition is fierce. He sees an important role for the tight ends in Coach Tim Beckman's spread offense.

<title>Evan Wilson Much Improved As Sophomore</title>
<description>One of the diamonds in the rough of the 2010 Illinois recruiting class was tight end Evan Wilson. He came from obscurity to become a starter as a freshman. With the offense incorporating the tight end position more, Wilson’s role is expanding. The sophomore is an important cog in both the running and passing games this year, and he caught three balls against Western Michigan.

      <title>Evan Wilson Continuing Upward Spiral</title>
<description>The Fighting Illini football team benefitted from the rapid maturity of a few freshmen. One of those was tight end Evan Wilson, who stabilized a position that lost a starter to injury and lacked depth. The tall, lanky Wilson proved an excellent blocker last fall, and he has begun to show signs of helping in the pass game as well.

<title>Illini Freshman TE Enjoyed Impressive Year</title>
<description>The Fighting Illini offense had a great season despite playing five true freshmen regularly. Among the newcomers who took over as a starter was tight end Evan Wilson. The Georgia native filled in at a position of need and played exceptionally well. Now that he has a better feel for the offense, an off season of weight training should make him even better in 2011.

<title>Evan Wilson Adjusting Quickly To College Ball</title>
<description>The Fighting Illini football team has recruited few tight ends in recent years. And Zach Becker, expected to start at the position this season, was withheld early due to a stress fracture. But out of the blue, unheralded freshman Evan Wilson rose through the ranks in fall drills and is now starting at that important position. He has great potential.</description>
