      <title>Named WAC Special Teams Player of the Week</title>
      <description>JUNIOR WIDE RECEIVER AND SPECIAL TEAMS STANDOUT JUSTIN HERNANDEZ, a product of Lapwai (Ida.) High School, was named this week's Western Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his effort Saturday at Virginia.  For the second year in a row Hernandez was in on a blocked punt, and for the second year in a row the block resulted in an Idaho TD.  This is Hernandez's first POW honor.</description>

      <description>THE VANDAL DEFENSE BATTLED THROUGH ADVERSITY SATURDAY AT VIRGINIA, holding the Cavaliers to 14-points in regulation and forcing three turnovers.  Idaho's special teams also came up big, including the second career blocked punt by Lapwai product Justin Hernandez, which was scooped up by Daniel Micheletti (of Meridian) for a Vandal TD.  A missed UI 2-pt conversion was the difference in OT.</description>

      <description>THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON IDAHO (3-2, 0-0 WAC) heads to Ruston to take on Louisiana Tech (2-4, 1-1 WAC) in the Western Athletic Conference opener for the Vandals.  Idaho is coming off a bye week, while the Bulldogs are coming off an impressive 24-6 victory over Utah State.  This is a "must win" game for both teams (kickoff at 1PM PST and telecast live on GamePlan), with bowl aspirations on the line.</description>
