Commit list shrinks by one

With the offensive struggles Nebraska has been having and the continued recruiting that all schools do of kids who are commits, you had to know that some on the list of commits might waffle a bit. One did, that being two-way standout Curtis Carter. What you might find interesting is what led to him becoming a former Husker commit. And you can read all about it on the Red Zone

Still solid to Nebraska?

One of Nebraska's most electric commits, Curtis Carter is obviously coveted by the Huskers, but his status as a hot commodity didn't change with his pledge to the Big Red. The question is: has it had any impact on him, and if any, how much? Check out the Red Zone as we talked to Curtis about schools who are trying to get him to sign with someone other than Nebraska.

Carter goes off in district Championship

I was set for a return trip to Stonewall (LA), to get more highlights of Husker commit Curtis Carter. If you remember a few weeks ago I attended another one his games against Grant. That game was held in a driving rain storm against an inferior opponent, so Curtis wouldn’t be on display the entire game, as they had to keep him fresh and healthy for the bigger games down the road.

It means a lot to get that first offer. More than that, to Curtis Carter, it was what was really known about him. Carter, even to himself, would have called himself a bit of an unknown commodity or even a sleeper. Still, Nebraska pulled the trigger on an offer when Carter wasn’t very popular and has stayed in touch with him the whole way.
