Vestal and Wheeler enjoy Lincoln

The early word on Nebraska’s junior day is that it was a success. While there weren’t any commitments that we know about right now to speak of, its clear Nebraska made an impression. Just like with Donovan Vestal and Diamonte Wheeler from Arlington (Texas) Bowie with whom Nebraska is now sitting solely or tied at the top of their list.

The Junior Day on Friday is going to be a success for the Nebraska staff regardless of who comes in that weekend and who doesn’t. It’s a step in the right direction to giving the recruits another chance to get to Lincoln late in the summer. This pair of defensive lineman is headed up to Lincoln this week for the Junior Day on Friday. The DE of the duo is particularly excited about the trip.

The words "package deal" seem to pop up with more frequency every year. A pair of defensive lineman seem to have that same idea in mind to go to the same school and play by each other for four or five more years. One of them is Donovan Vestal, an athletic defensive end, and the other is Diamonte Wheeler. Wheeler says Nebraska is a school that he and Vestal are considering.
