Johnson Comfortable in Switch to Offense

Chris Johnson was originally surprised when head coach Will Muschamp suggested him moving to running back. He signed with Florida as a safety and was starting to enjoy the idea of being a big-hitter in the secondary for the Gators. That switched with one conversation. As he thought about it more, Johnson took it as a compliment. The Florida coaches wanted to move him to make an impact.

Juice is Juiced to Report

For Ocala Trinity Catholic star safety Chris Johnson, getting to Florida wasn’t an option. Johnson didn’t have the best scholastic career in high school, and it was something he had to deal with all the way until he graduated. But, he persevered and will report Tuesday for his freshman season. The long time Gators fan nicknamed ‘Juice’ is pumped about it.

‘Juice’ Surprised on his Visit

He may live just 40 miles away, has been a Gator all his life, and been to campus hundreds of times, but count Chris ‘Juice’ Johnson as surprised at how well his official visit went to Florida. The Gator commitment visited this past weekend and saw more than he thought he would and was impressed with Florida’s new staff and the rest of the people around the program.

Johnson Eager to be a Gator

Safety Chris "Juice" Johnson, from Ocala (FL) Trinity Catholic, is the newest addition in Florida's 2011 recruiting class. His coach, John Brantley III, said Johnson will be a great fit at Florida because of his grit and natural talent. Brantley said Johnson is tough to handle and makes wide receivers have their fair share of difficulties.

Nothing Official, but Close for Juice

Chris “Juice” Johnson is ready for a big senior season at a big time program. Trinity Catholic in Ocala is a power in Florida high school football and produces star prospects annually. The next in line is Johnson, a true strong safety with freakish speed and strength attributes who uses those abilities to play both sides of the ball for TC. Juice has a college in mind as well.

Johnson Takes in Swamp

Cornerback Chris Johnson is from Ocala (FL) Trinity Catholic and checks in at 5-10 and 185-pounds and is a very aggressive and physical player. With a 315-pound bench it's easy to see that the strength of his game is his physical presence on the football field. Johnson was able to take in The Swamp as the Gators hosted Florida State this past weekend.
