Koniseti looks to firm up grasp on position

Spring practice will often provide a preview of fall camp, but one can argue that the LB group may be the exception. With Brandon Magee not cleared yet for full contact, along with the arrival of a few talented players in the summer, this position’s depth chart is prime for an August makeover. Kipeli Koniseti knows that a solid spring could help winning a stiff competition battle in the future.

Better late than never for Koniseti

Many players take a unique recruiting path to their ultimate college destination and linebacker Kipeli Koniseti can certainly relate to that. The 6-3 240 Sacramento Grant standout was a member of ASU’s 2009 class who didn’t qualify in time to join the Sun Devils. Fast forward two years and Koniseti will now be part of the team he always dreamed of playing for.

Wait pays off for Koniseti

The Sun Devils have been tracking Kipeli Koniseti all season, and last weekend they brought him in for an official visit. The under recruited quarterback from Sacramento’s Grant High School was elated to visit Tempe but was also disappointed that he didn’t receive a scholarship offer from the Sun Devils on his trip.
