TCU a true measuring stick

The Cougars have been on a roll for the past five weeks. Much of that success has come as the expense of playing what are perceived as lesser opponents. On a short week BYU returns to Cowboy Stadium, where they defeated Oklahoma two years ago, to face TCU in what will be a true measuring-stick opponent.

They now bleed blue

Two of BYU’s captains have ties to the University of Utah. One spent some time on Utah’s roster before his mission, while the other grew up a Utah fan and attended many of their home games. However, both found a common path and eventually ended up at BYU, and they wouldn’t trade their Cougar experiences for the world. These two Cougar captains now bleed blue.

Once a Ute, now a Cougar

Cougar safety Travis Uale had a decent game in BYU’s 17-16 loss to Texas, hauling in an interception. Now the senior Cougar will face the Utes, a team he once belonged to, one last time suited up in Cougar blue.

Uale Finds Blue While in Mexico

Former Kamehameha High School defensive back Travis Uale always wanted to be a Cougar. It was a goal of his ever since he was a young boy strapping on the helmets and pads on the island of Oahu. His dream of being accepted into BYU would be granted while serving a mission in Central America.
