Padres' 2011 PCL Pitcher of the Year

Summary: There really isn’t any other way to put it; Tucson is a rotten place to pitch. But the scary part is that there are actually better places to hit in the PCL including Colorado Springs, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City to name a few. In other words, pitching statistics where the ball doesn’t sink or come down should be taken with a big grain of salt.

Minor League Recap April 18th

2 Padres' prospects were named as their leagues hitter/pitcher of the week, while a few others were more than deserving. Either way it was a great end to a stellar first week+ for the Padres affiliates. The actual games though were BAD. Another 0-4 day (0-5 with the Padres 1-0 loss).

Top 30 San Diego Padres Prospects

When ranking prospects, you have to look both at what a prospect is capable of doing, and what they have already done. The goal of any prospect ranking is not just to organize players by the best numbers, or who has the highest ceiling, but who has the best chance to not only make the majors but become a season vet. Ben Davey is the lead Padres minor league writer for FriarForecast.com.
