Flannery Still Learning

Ryan Flannery has never had any problem finding his way to his Carlstadt, NJ home, but at the start of this year’s Spring Training down in Tampa, the Trenton Thunder pitcher found he had some trouble finding home plate. Getting off to what he calls his “usual slow start”, he feels that he has bounced back somewhat since then and is currently working on improving his location and overall game.

Flannery Still Confident

Ryan Flannery’s first trip to Trenton was a rough one. The 25-year-old right-hander was promoted in mid-July and saw action in four games before being demoted back to Tampa. He walked more in those four games than he did in 30 high-A games and accumulated an ERA of nine. Needless to say, the Tampa Yankees’ closer wasn’t too pleased but he says his confidence is still high.
