      <description>Jason Knapp pitched five scoreless innings to help the Lake County Captains advance in the Class A Midwest League playoffs. Lake County edged West Michigan, 3-2, to take the best-of-three series, 2-1. Chris Kersten drove in two runs, Jason Smit had a solo homer and Preston Guilmet worked a man-sized save, pitching 2 2-3 innings. The story was Knapp, a top prospect back from injury who was superb.</description>

Tech improves to 13-6 on the season and will begin the WAC portion of their schedule this weekend in Reno, Nevada.  Mike LeBreton struck out four and did not walk a batter in three shutout innings of work.</description>

      <description>The Bulldogs will start a two game series with Baylor on Tuesday, after falling to Arkansas, Ohio State, and Texas A&amp;M in the Domino’s Pizza Classic.  Baylor moved up to #11 in this week’s Baseball America poll, after placing 13th and 15th in previous weeks.  The Bears took care of four teams last week, including a 20-6 beat down of Illinois.</description>
