Pu’u-Robinson explains why he's leaving WSU

MANY TIMES WHEN a player leaves a program you don't hear much from the player about why. One day they're here, the next they're gone. But Washington State BUCK linebacker Jordan Pu’u-Robinson, who turned in a solid spring season for first-year coach Mike Leach, he has more to say about his departure and his planned transfer to Hawaii.

AFTER A MONTH OF spring workouts, Mike Leach is trimming his roster. With WSU needing to get to the NCAA-mandated 105-player limit by the start of fall camp, several have been cut and some are planning to leave.
PRACTICE REPORT: Halliday making strides

PULLMAN -- Washington State coach Paul Wulff has maintained during the last two days that he needed to see more consistency from Connor Halliday to insert him into Saturday's 7:30 p.m. game against Arizona State (TV: Versus). With full contact wrapped up, did Wulff see enough from the redshirt freshman to see his first Pac-12 action?

After being dominated by the offense Thursday, Chris Ball's unit came ready to play, showcasing some fine work on both the defensive line and in the secondary.

Daniel Blackledge showed solid hands, the o-line opened some running lanes but with the “game” on the line, would Wazzu score? On D, Aire Justin was giving away nothing in the secondary and Brandon Rankin showed blocking him will be a tall order. But the Cougs lost a reserve DL for the year.

PULLMAN -- Anyone who saw the past two Washington State football teams in action really doesn’t need to come to Pullman to appreciate the difference in team speed this year. All they have to do is watch the past two years’ games -- on fast forward. On other fronts, Marquess Wilson has tongues wagging, Rickey Galvin and Leon Brooks flip the switch -- and is a change in the offing at center?
