Midseason Stock Up/Down

The minor league seasons are reaching their midpoints and it’s interesting to check on the progress of players. Some of the top Reds’ top prospects are starting to put together stronger seasons after struggling initially at higher levels. Lefty Tony Cingrani has taken advantage of an unexpected opportunity to replace an injured Johnny Cueto and acquitted himself well at the MLB level.

The Defense Did Not Rest

Father’s Day was defense day in the Reds organization as each affiliate won while allowing only four total runs. Louisville won a 1-0 contest, Bakersfield pounded out a win, and Ismael Guillon had his best outing of the season for Dayton. Meanwhile Johnny Cueto returned with a solid outing as the Reds picked up a game on St. Louis.

Projecting the Louisville Roster

Cincinnati turned over its AAA roster in 2012 and the results were not good on the field.
