Knocked Out

The taste is there for a team when they make it to the finals and play a good game. Harvey Jackson and Sugar Land (Texas) Hightower had that last year. Into the finals and come up short. This year was all about taking that next step or that’s the way it was supposed to go. Hightower is out now and Jackson is left to get ready for track and for college football.

Visit was an “11”

Nebraska was the first to offer Harvey Jackson and in the end the persistence of the Nebraska staff has paid off. The Nebraska staff reeled in a Jackson commitment on their opening weekend. Jackson is a big safety that has the potential to carry more weight. What might be most impressive about Jackson is the legit 4.5 speed that he brings to the safety spot.

There was a lot of speculation that Nebraska might come out of this weekend with at least one commit. They did, check out the Red Zone to see who it was and to follow the rest of the recruits attending Nebraska's game against Florida Atlantic.

Commit in waiting?

There are two things coming up for Harvey Jackson. The first is a huge showdown with Eisenhower this Saturday and the second is a trip to Nebraska the following weekend. Sugar Land (Texas) Hightower wants to get off on the right foot this season to get back to the state finals this year. Jackson figures to be a big part of that equation for Hightower.

Would like to visit Nebraska

One of the players that I am sure the Nebraska staff wishes was up at the Junior Day last week is still considering visiting Nebraska, unofficially. Time is running out to make that trip, but even if time does run out this recruit is planning on taking an official visit to Nebraska too. What does this recruit like about Nebraska?

Jackson will see Nebraska

The Nebraska secondary is improving under the watchful eye of Bo Pelini in Lincoln. However, there is still a need to bring in top talent to man the positions. The Huskers were the first to offer Harvey Jackson and have been hard after him ever since. Jackson has already taken two trips and has another set. Can Nebraska get him to visit Lincoln?

Recruiting: Jackson Wraps Up Camps At OSU

One of the two standout players from Fort Bend (Hightower), Texas attending Sunday's Oklahoma State half-day high school camp was safety Harvey Jackson. The 6-2 1/2, 190-pound Jackson helped Hightower to a 13-1 record last season and is bigger, stronger, and faster for this season's run toward a state championship. Jackson picked up offers this week after being at both the OU and OSU camps.

Likes what he hears about Nebraska

It’s not like the Huskers weren’t going to be knocking around on the door anyway at Fort Bend (Texas) Hightower for Shaun Lewis anyway. The Huskers have extended offers to two players from Hightower, both on defense, and both like what they are hearing from their recruiting coach. The head coach has been in touch with him too and he really liked that.

The Hightower program in Sugar Land (Tex) is loaded this year with talented players, just like most years. One of those players holding an offer from Nebraska is Harvey Jackson.
