Byrd sets Nebraska official

The cornerback position is one of high importance for Nebraska. There is a need for players at the cornerback position and the Huskers got a commitment from DeAndre Byrd from Tallahassee (Flor.) Lincoln back in August. Now it’s about time for Byrd to come up to Nebraska and check out where he will be playing football and living for the next four or five years.

Huskers pick up big-time CB

When Bo Pelini was the interim head coach at Nebraska in 2003, there were at least three recruits from Tallahassee (Flor.) Lincoln that he was in on. In the end, Danny Muy from Lincoln made his way north and Bo Pelini left Nebraska. With Bo back as the head coach it seems that the connection from Lincoln, Nebr. to Lincoln High School is starting to open up again with commitment #10.
