Perez Turning The Corner

Right-handed relief pitcher Kelvin Perez struggled mightily in 2011. A native of the Dominican Republic, he went a combined 0-4 with a 5.01 ERA over 70 innings last season while pitching for the low Single-A Charleston RiverDogs and the high Single-A Tampa Yankees. But the 6-foot-1, 160-pounder has been nearly unhittable with the Double-A Trenton Thunder in 2012.
